The following are 5 types of sand according to their level of quality:

  • Red Sand

Red sand or like called Sand Jebrod if in the area of ​​Sukabumi or Cianjur because the sand is taken from the area of ​​Jebrod Cianjur. Jebrod sand is usually used for Cast material because it has more rough characteristics and somewhat larger rock.

  • Sand of Elod

The characteristic feature of this elod sand is that if it is clenched in the head it will clot and will not return. This sand is still a mixture of soil and the color is black. This type of sand is not good for buildings. This sand is usually only for concrete sand mixture so that it can be used for wall plastering, or for brick making mixtures.

  • Sand Plug

Namely sand that is not much different from elod type sand finer than concrete sand. Characteristics if clenched will clot and will not return to the original. Tide sand is usually used to mix concrete sand so it is not too rough so that it can be used for plastering walls.

  • Concrete Sand

Namely the sand is black and the grain is quite smooth, but if it is clenched with the hand it does not clot and it will return. This sand is very good for casting, plastering walls, foundations, brick and stone installation.

  • River Sand

is sand that is obtained from the river which is the result of gigisation of hard and sharp rocks, this type of sand is quite good granules (between 0.063 mm – 5 mm) so that it is a good mix for pair work. Usually this sand is only for caranaran material.
